As a result of lockdown, my final major project  Screwball, as I’m sure many others did as well, completely changed. No longer having any access to studios, models, or any resources, this forced me to think on my feet and see things from a new, quirky perspective. I decided to change the narrative of my publication and focus it solely on coronavirus, and headlines or situations that have arisen in our time in lockdown. In order to do this, I had to get crafty, and each of the images in Screwball has been edited to (hopefully) look like it isn’t taken in my tiny bedroom.  I’ve made garments or backdrops for each one of the photoshoots as I had to make do with what I already had in my home. From pizza box skirts to toilet roll hats, I’ve certainly made the most out of my lockdown experience and I feel my work in Screwball portrays this time in all of our lives.
This work went viral, being shared as far afield as Nigeria and Indonesia and made it to the front cover of The Guardian Weekend magazine and having it talked about on iHeart radio breakfast show with Amanda Holden. It was also Graduate Fashion Week shortlisted to the final six in the country for the digital publication award.
